I Hate Being A Klutz
So far today I have:
Bent over to pick up a dropped item and failed to clear a chair in the vicinity. Smashed my right finger and knuckle on it. (That would be the very arthritic finger and knuckle, BTW.)
Got my left index finger caught in the sleeve of my sweatshirt while dressing and bent it backwards, almost all the way to my wrist. It's sprained.
Drove the van to work to get the new battery going. Realized after I'd started driving that the seat was leaning back. Tried to make it go upright and instead but it in full recline, and couldn't make it budge after that, and couldn't stop either, so I drove to work with no back support and hanging onto the steering wheel for dear life. Neck, back and shoulders, all killing me. (Oh yeah...the ceiling liner in the van isn't attached to the ceiling anymore, so I duct-taped the liner back to the ceiling. After a summer in a non-AC'd vehicle, the glue on the tape melted and it's started coming loose. So I was also contending with the ceiling liner and a long strip of duct tape taking turns hitting me in the face as I drove. And the tape stuck in my hair. Gah.)
Phone rang while I was filing, raced across the office to answer it and got the arm of a chair square in the thigh.
