If it seems like it was cold yesterday, that's because hell froze over. I called in sick to work. I do that maybe once every couple years? But I picked up a stomach bug, probably from a co-worker, and spent Thursday night in the bathroom, which left me too wiped out to contemplate things like driving, much less working. Spent the day napping and mainlining Brisco County.

Unfortunately, today I'm not sick and I've gotten plenty of sleep, but I still feel like crap. Sore all over and splitting headache. Just terrific. I do have to go out in the world today, there's a rare Roots Cafe reunion happening. It was supposed to be an outdoor barbeque but it looks like it'll be a house concert now. I miss these folks, so I have to take the opportunity to refresh acquaintances when I get one.

THEN I get to pass out again.

You are probably dehydrated. If your stomach is up to it, get fluids in you and your status should improve quickly.

Oh, I got plenty of fluids into me yesterday and today - now my kidneys are working overtime!
