To See Or Not To See Avatar...

That is the question. It doesn't really appeal to me, 3-D doesn't interest me and I don't care for theater-going anymore, but on the other hand http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.ap.org/vatican-says-avatar-no-masterpiece-ap  hate it, which makes me think I absolutely must see it. If for no other reason than to annoy those people.

Sunday, maybe. Maybe even IMAX.

"The Vatican newspaper and radio station are criticizing James Cameron's 3-D blockbuster for flirting with the idea that worship of nature can replace religion — a notion the pope has warned against."

Note to the Vatican: Worship of nature IS a religion, one your faith was quite happy to steal rituals from in order to assimilate them.

I'm not going to see it. I know I will get really nauseous from it - movies like that do not do well with me. And IMAX or even just regular 3-D make me sick. I turn a lovely shade of green.

I've heard about all the issues my friends and family have had with it, and I admit to forming some preconceptions, but in the end, I still want to see it.
