Yesterday, I bought my mother an early birthday present. An MP3 player. Yes, I got the woman who can't tell if there's a message on the machine and broke two cell phones a tiny technogadget. What the hell was I thinking?
So far, amusingly enough, the biggest problem is she can't get the left earbud into her ear. A new and different problem to have. And I discovered the player doesn't like APE files, so I'll need to learn how to convert those to more usable files. But she is happily listening to 'Candide' and so far no disasters. Give her time.
