Not An Auspicious Start
The day has not started well. First I forgot the tax documents I was supposed to send to my sister-in-law, so I drove back up the driveway and tried to get them. Mom had locked the door and the keys were in the ignition. Much door-pounding later I got the documents. Now I'm late for work.
Then to Burger King for breakfast, where I ordered the same thing I order every day: 2 egg & cheese croissants. Being late, I set down the bag and hustled off. Almost immediately, I was run off the road by a van leaving the Beltway which cut across 3 lanes without looking. Nice. Said van then passed me (without a turn signal) both front/left and rear/right at different times, cutting me off the first time and nearly clipping my bumper the second. She also cut off or just missed several other cars. I'm pretty sure I saw where she works and I'm giving serious thought to calling them to complain.
Because I was trying not to get hit by this bitch, I didn't get out my breakfast until I was well away from the BK. They gave me a bacon biscuit and hash browns. Grrrr. I couldn't go back to the store without being REALLY late for work. I ate the biscuit reluctantly and I hate hash browns, so I donated them when I got to work. They owe me a free breakfast Monday whether they like it or not.
So, generally, not a good half hour of my life. And I'm hungry.
