An Observation

People coming to the office (clients, neighbors, delivery folks, etc) approach the door with one of two styles. Either they barge right in without warning like they work here, or they stand in the parking lot quietly, hoping someone will eventually notice they're there. No one knocks on the door anymore.

I do not understand.
