That happened on the day after Thanksgiving last year.

Our department director had announced that he was taking the day off, so one of my coworkers planned to leave about two.

But then the department director showed up at the office, and he stayed until five.

My coworker was steamed.

Me, I was amused. I had stuff to do that day.
