Here's Your Sign
In my many trips to and from the hospital, I passed a couple of new signs that were interesting. A law firm near the house has put up a new one that reads, under the firm name, "Civil Justice Attorneys". Hmm. Methinks that is the 'sanitation engineer' version of 'ambulance-chaser'. Nice try, guys.
The other was more worrisome: a crab house now has a sign out front that says they'll accept food stamps. While granted, they do sell some fresh seafood and fish there, steamed crabs are 90% of their business and shrimp & oysters are another 8%. I'm not so sure that taxpayers should be paying for people to eat luxury foods. I love 'em, but crabs are a luxury. If they weren't I'd be eating them a heckuva a lot more often.
