Weekend Update

An assortment of things from the weekend:

So now we know why Bank of America can't be bothered to sort out the problems with the office's forged check issues. They're too busy buying out Merrill Lynch. And I really don't wanna know what my 401k and IRA look like this morning.

With no response from BoA, we have no checks and therefore, no payroll for payday today. I have five bills due this week. I am not a happy camper here. Among other things, I have managed to not abuse my credit card for almost two years, but now I'm going to have to live on it until I get a paycheck.

I am very, VERY happy that Pushing Daisies and Torchwood both come out tomorrow. I'm going to need plenty of happy stuff. Also a CD song from Marc Olson & Gary Louris, together again. More happy. ETA: The radio station jumped the gun. No CD from Olson & Louris until 2009; it's only a song coming out tomorrow. On the other hand, Jem does have a CD coming out tomorrow. So almost as good.

My right hand is absolutely killing me. It hurts like crazy to type and mousing is worse. Can't hold a pen either. But I can't not do these things. And I have a ton of drawings & wood-burnings I have to get done for [livejournal.com profile] easternmediacon  and tree ornaments for Christmas shows. For an encore, I may be developing a kidney stone. I hope it's just a bad and poorly placed muscle injury.

My mother is a mess. She's completely messed up her checkbook, just a week after the bank manager sat down with her and balanced her checkbook with her. I'm going to have to take over the check writing :(  And, moments after we agreed I would take CJ to my room and crate her so Roxie could be let out, my mother takes CJ into the bedroom with her and lets Roxie out in front of CJ. CJ, of course, attacked Roxie again. For an encore my mother left the gate open, fortunately I found that before either dog did. Either her mind is totally shot or she wants one or both dogs to be lost and/or killed. I'm scared to leave her alone with the dogs.

What the hell is a train engineer doing texting instead of driving the train? In this case, I hope the injured/families sue the crap out of Metrolink.

The football did not go well for me yesterday. Fortunately it didn't go well for anyone else in the pool either, in fact, if the Eagles win tonight I win the week. Weird, considering I'm only 50/50.
