Fannish Roundup

It's the Fandom Four! Or at least, I got through 4 shows last night, 3 taped and 1 live. Thoughts as follows:

Life on Mars: a wee bit odd, as it seemed to wrap up the show and many storylines as if this were the final episode. And did it as frantically as if they were halfway through filming it when they were told the show was cancelled. Which would make sense, except that they have one more episode left. Go figure. Anyway, I'm with Sam up on the ledge. I'm not convinced that Windy was/is real, but those robots certainly seem to be there and Morgan said too many modern things to be completely discounted. I'd be losing my mind, too. Mom loved the 'tableau' of Sam and Annie in the jail cell. That was a sweet moment.

Damages: So Daniel Purcell is not the angel he'd have us think. Still, he's not the full-blown monster that Kendrick and his lap dogs are. Still unclear on the significance of the remote control. Tom Shays is no angel either, but he didn't deserve what he got in this episode under any circumstances, and certainly not the same day his wife gives birth. Interesting that Patty considers Phil investing in UNR to be a far greater betrayal than cheating on her. My guess for next week - it isn't actually Ellen who shoots Patty. But it is Ellen who winds up dead. With Wes and Rick also showing up with guns, whatever happens, it ain't gonna be pretty.

Life: Awwww. The baby is Ted. Awwww. Lots of crying in this ep, and it made me laugh. Not sure if that was supposed to happen but it did. What's a dog walker? Good news: Reese believes in Charlie. Bad news: I think she's in some really incredible major trouble and those aren't FBI agents she's in with. Yikes. I figured out the chef immediately, although I guessed 'ice pick' rather than 'pick made of ice' as the means of death.

Supernatural: That was the appropriate use of Ghostfacers, I think. The joke can't carry a full episode but for a few short scenes, they're hysterical. The security guard surprised me because I was waiting for him to get chopped on his way out of the elevator, not the way back in! BTW, how did SAM get out of the elevator? Was Sam also supposed to be tested, or was it just more convenient for Zachariah to test them both together? Either way, Dean's back on board, attitude subject to change.
