Thoughts on Various Shows
I just had a wild and crazy theory on Dollhouse on ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
sol_se 's LJ, but you can't do cuts on comments, AFAIK. Here goes: Ballard is a doll...from another dollhouse. One or more of the other houses are concerned about the security and procedures in LA because of the Alpha incident, so they have sent a doll - Ballard - to 'investigate' the dollhouse and determine just how vulnerable the LA house is.
Elsewhere, finally saw the Damages finale Sunday (it didn't tape, for some odd reason.) I actually cheered when Wes killed Rick. 'bout time someone took out that SOB. The whole thing Patty did with setting up Ellen, Tom, and the FBI in such a manner was incredibly complicated and to tell the truth I can't figure out how she pulled all that off. Ironic, that Daniel didn't actually kill his wife (assault, not murder) but in the end does go to jail for it and of his own volition, no less. Also very surprised that Ellen shot the cameras, not Patty. After 12 eps of making us think she shot Patty, of course.
Last but not least, Ashes to Ashes returns April 21st! And just in time, we finished season 1 yesterday. Alex seems even weirder/flakier than Sam did. At least Sam, at least after the first ep or 2, didn't continue to insist that everyone was imaginary. And she does have a talent for making bad things worse - she has an impulse control problem, to say the least! Did not see the thing with her father coming until midway through the last ep, when he refused protection for his family I started to wonder. I can't say I blame Evan & Gene for destroying the tape and hiding the truth - Alex may not agree, but knowing what really happened would be just too horrific for a child.
Last thought - we also watched 'Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day' last night. Wonderful movie. Very light and witty and in the end has something to say about life and love. And Lee Pace is gorgeous. Highly recommend.
