Watched them both last night. At times spoilery thoughts below:
Awww. Emerson dressed in oddly colored suits as child. Too cute.
Love makes people act stupidly. Love makes Emerson act incredibly stupidly.
How can Olive and Randy be a 'rebound' when Olive and Ned never 'bounded'? Do you really need a rebound from an unrequited crush?
That Simone is one sharp cookie. Need more Bubblegum though.
Stillwater(?) was building the dam at the same time he was engaged to Lila. Anyone besides me notice the dam's interior brickwork matched Lila's dress? Nice little detail there.
So, I fully anticipated the Platt bridge going ka-boom. What surprised me was that Norman went with it. And that, after all the guilt he had over the dozen or so people who died in Omaha, he was so willing to take Marshall and Mary with him. I did not expect show to go there. Oh boy, they went there. Easily the saddest ep of the show's run, and amazingly downbeat for a summer show.
Less seriously - Oh, come on, Squish. Mary's job comes first, always has, and her schedule is nutty and permanently subject to change. How can you possibly count on her to actually be home 12 hours from now? Much less be mad at her when she isn't? Sheesh.
