The Cure Causes The Disease

Our office is presently full of bottles of hand sanitizer, one on every desk and in every nook or cranny with a flat surface. We are strongly encouraged to use the stuff. A lot. The problem? All of the sanitizers are so full of alcohol and have such a strong chemical smell to them, that they irritate my throat and sinuses. They make me cough a lot, and sometimes sneeze. So everyone thinks I'm sick and wants me to use more hand sanitizer. A deadly spiral.

Not to mention they have limited if any effect on the flu virus. You will note they say Anti-Bacterial, not anti-viral.

*reads bottle* this one says anti-microbial. Nothing about bacteria or viruses. But it doesn't work on bacteria, apparently, because I do have a chest cold.
