Finally, some finished art
May. 19th, 2008 01:54 pmI got a lot done over the weekend, with plenty more to go - mostly matting and framing prints and originals, and pulling the art and doing bid sheets for Balticon. (Less than four days to go...)
One thing I finished was a couple of portraits, a commissioned piece of Rodney McKay (SG:A) and one for me of Capt Jack Harkness (Torchwood/Dr Who). In the case of Rodney, I was using watersoluble graphite on a Claybord panel, and I scanned it at various points in its development. When I have time, I'll post its development here in LJ. Probably took me 12-15 hours to do. Capt Jack was also supposed to be watersoluble graphite, but I wasn't happy with how it was going and went back to straight up graphite pencil on Bristol Board. He turned out rather well, I think. About 8-10 hours for Jack.
Enjoy! (I hope!)
