The Weekend Roundup

Congrats to the Tampa Rays on making the World Series. And extra congrats to anyone now rolling in the dough because they picked the Rays & Phillies for the Series in the pre-season.

I'm not the most popular person at the office this morning, at least amongst the football pool crowd. I'm the only one who had Green Bay and/or St Louis. Only one other person had Baltimore. An easy win for the week for me. Even blind squirrels find nuts, you know.

At the behest of my friend Dan, I watched much of a documentary about Sigur Ros (I hope to finish it at some point this week.) I'm enjoying the music, which is at least partly surprising. But the documentary/visual portion isn't doing it for me. The opposite reaction of what I expected.

I didn't finish Sigur Ros because 'The Great Escape' was on and I've never seen it before. For a POW camp, it looked like quite a livable situation! But I have now greatly increased my pop culture knowledge and saw quite a good flick at the same time. Definitely recommended viewing.

Is the election over yet? Please?

Reasons to Enjoy Election Season

Earlier I belly-ached that I'd like the election over already. Then I found a thread on a bulletin board...and if the election keeps generating stuff like this, then yeah, it can continue.
