Writer's Block: Ten for the Tenth
Nov. 10th, 2008 04:54 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]Hmm. This list tends to be somewhat fluid, in that it's usually the same artists but not always the same albums. And it's more like a top 20 list sometimes. But today's list:
1. Bruce Springsteen, Born to Run. Always & forever.
2. Moody Blues, Days of Future Passed.
3. R.E.M., Automatic for the People. When it's not Murmur or Reckoning.
4. Dire Straits, Love Over Gold.
5. The Beatles, Revolver.
6. The Jayhawks, Hollywood Town Hall. Though any Jayhawks album will do.
7. Aimee Mann, Whatever.
8. Van Morrison, Moondance.
9. Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here. Or the Wall or Dark Side, depending.
10. The Old 97's, Satellite Rides.
Others known to appear: The Clash, London Calling; The Who, Who's Next or Tommy; Lyle Lovett, The Road to Ensenada; The Beatles, Rubber Soul or Sgt Peppers; til tuesday, Welcome Home; Robbie Robertson, self-titled; Peter Gabriel, So; U2, Boy & The Joshua Tree; and many more I'll think of tomorrow.
