Various things
Feb. 9th, 2009 12:55 pmTook Mom to the doctor this morning for her 4-week checkup. The doctor's really pleased with her progress, sent her off to PT - and didn't clear her to drive. She's a bit peeved about that part. I'm not thrilled about it, as it means I'll have to miss work to drive her to PT for at least a couple weeks, but otherwise it's all good.
Arrived at work at 11:45 and within half an hour 3 of the 4 attorneys left the building. The office manager is also leaving early. And here I thought I'd showered this morning.
CJ was a pain in the backside at class yesterday, but moreso to the left thumb. She got a little too enthusiastic about grabbing a treat and one of her canines got under my thumbnail, split it, and went deep enough to draw blood. It hurts a lot more today than yesterday. Meep.
Rather pleased by the results of the Grammys last night. Most of the nominees in major categories, and all of the winners, are not only people I've heard of, but I've heard the winning music and I own a copy of it. This is a rarity these days as I care not for R&B/hip-hop/top 40. And I really loved the Robert Plant/Allison Krauss record, so I'm very happy they won big.
Just sent a pleading to the Dorchester County court, which is located on Gay Street. There's also a Gay Street here in Baltimore. Has me wondering what happens if the American Family Council gets it into their heads to mail something to Dorchester or Baltimore or anywhere else that has a 'Gay Street'. Will the post office still deliver if the letter is addressed to 'Homosexual Street'?
