Busy, Busy

In a fit of idiocy, I forgot to do a to-do list for this weekend and couldn't remember most of what was on it. I did get some sleep, and Mom offered to do the laundry if I would carry it up and down the stairs. The only other thing I could think of was ornaments.

So I poured glue into 16 ornaments, colored the interior of 16 ornaments, and painted the outside of 44 ornaments. Painting the outside can take anywhere from 5 to 90 minutes, depending on the design and how familiar with it I am. It used to take an hour+ to do the Ravens, because it was complicated; but I can do those in my sleep now, so more like 20-30 minutes. I also drove around to a couple of stores in search of more ornaments, because only Michaels carries them and the store closest to me is out of them.

But they're done, phew. Esp since now as I sit here, I realize I didn't call the web host about my site or call AAA about jumpstarting the van. Not perfect - check.

Writer's Block: Who's your BFF?

The one friend I've managed to stay in touch with over the years is Dan. We met when I was 11, he was 12, and he got himself banned from riding the school bus in junior high. But we had a mutual friend so we wound up becoming friends anyway, and we still are, 28 years later. Except he moved to the Netherlands last December and I haven't seen him since. Strictly internet communication since then. I'm overdue to e-mail him, it occurs to me.[Error: unknown template qotd]
