Couple of Thoughts on a Monday
Nov. 30th, 2009 10:22 amI can't believe I watched the whole thing...that would be the Ravens/Steelers game, complete with overtime. Got to bed at midnight. I am feeling every minute of it right now.
BTW, someone please tell the Ravens - this season at least, beating the Steelers does not make you a playoff team. It means you beat the Steelers - which is a great thing - but the way you're playing this season and the way the Steelers are playing, neither team is playoff-worthy.
What is with impatient drivers? Coming to work this morning, two drivers going opposite directions tried to pass each other and a parked car at the same time, instead of one waiting for the other. They got stuck, some rear view mirrors got tangled. So I hung back about 50 feet to wait for them to sort it out, esp since they had the whole road blocked. You guessed it - a car came up behind me, did the lights flashing and honking thing at me, then gave me the finger while going around me. And going absolutely nowhere because there was nowhere to go, and he blocked in one of the cars trying to get untangled. Moron. And of course, moron is driving a new Lexus.
Speaking of morons with expensive cars, I am not a fan of golf or Tiger Woods, but needless to say couldn't avoid the coverage. Initial reaction? Fender bender. Big whoop, who cares. But after several days of stonewalling the police, and hiring a controversy-liking attorney to do more stonewalling for him, NOW I think there's something to be investigated. Don't want to be suspected? Don't act suspicious! What an idiot.
