Heh. Fortunately I am no longer associated with this person (although, 20+ years later, I still remember her phone number...) But Voice of the Beehive's 'I Say Nothing' always reminds me of my 'best friend' in my late teens. She ran her life off the rails rather emphatically; I like to think that being friends with me might have delayed that crash a couple years, and considering she imploded after I left for college, that seems a possibility. But she was the type to drag everyone else into hell with her, so I'm glad I got off the carousel in time.
