gonzai: (Checking In)
Mom is still at the hospital - she'll be there at least a couple more hours. But the hospital thought I was going to wait for her ALL DAY. 9 hours plus worth of wait, and the AC repairmen were supposed to come over the afternoon. I did have to wait almost 3 hours, so it's a good thing I took the day off. Unfortunately 3 hours of nothing to drink/no caffeine left me feeling like crap, aided & abetted by the freakin' hot house and a worsening cold. That took care of any plans to work out. I had to wait for the lawn guys to do their thing before I could leave, but they got paid on time for a change. Checked out the new YMCA - it's the living definition of 'open floorplan'. Very new, very well equipped machine wise but light on lockers. I think. I couldn't find the lockerroom. Picked up some essentials and got home just in time to let the AC guys in. Now it's hurry up and wait until the hospital calls me to come get Mom. Hopefully after the AC guys are done.

ETA - 2 grand later (had to replace the whole AC system) the AC is almost finished. Mom will not be ready to come home until at least 8pm but is OK.

In this week's episode (not a spoiler) Luther needs info on an American suspect. He tells his lackey to "Call John Munch, he's with Special Victims in New York."

Another show with Munch. Gotta love any show that does that.

(Although, that being said, 'Luther' is starting to make 'Wallander' look like a sitcom...)
