Next Up: Maryland

Maryland's House of Delegates just passed a bill making same-sex marriage legal in Maryland. It passed the Senate last year with margin for error, so it should be passed there in the next couple of days, and the Governor, Martin O'Malley says he will definitely sign it. Opponents are going to try for a referendum, but they have a short period of time and a lot of signatures to come up with in a state that polls show favor same-sex marriage, so fingers crossed sometime this year, the weddings can start :)
