It Only Took 20 Some Years

But I finally watched the entire 'Godfather' movie. The first one. (The second is on the DVR and likely to be seen tomorrow.) I tried to watch it at least 20 years ago and got as far as the horse. That was as far as I ever wanted to go. But pesky people are always telling me I should see it, and I discovered to my surprise I've actually seen most of the movies on the alltime best lists, so I decided I'd give it a shot, with the caveat of skipping the whole horse thing. It was OK. Like many 'alltime bests', it was probably great for its time, but now a bit pedestrian.

What does amuse me is that after that miserable excuse for a 'press conference' from the NRA this morning, apparently I'm what's wrong with the world. Because I have 'American Psycho' and the 'Godfather' movies on the DVR and 'Dark Knight Rises' on my wish list. Yeah. I'm dangerous.
