Whirlwind errand day no 1: check.
Took the day off primarily because Mom had a midday doctor's appointment which required she be accompanied. I took the whole day and crammed in some other things.
Took the day off primarily because Mom had a midday doctor's appointment which required she be accompanied. I took the whole day and crammed in some other things.
- The painter started today. We reviewed what he is to do.
- CJ busted out of her crate, again. As in 5 times in 36 hours. To PetSmart, for chewies to occupy her and see if there are any better options on crates (no.)
- Took the van for emissions testing. The van failed to produce enough emissions to be tested. Yes, really. So I got a waiver. AND my money back. That part was a pleasant surprise.
- Went home and Mom wanted to leave again immediately. We had 90 minutes until her appointment so I made her wait long enough for me to post here, and to re-corral CJ. Yes, she busted out AGAIN. Still left way early.
- Went to wrong parking area, then wrong part of hospital because Mom wrote down the directions wrong. Got lost in the radiation dept. Finally got to the right place - and they took us right back to radiation. And it was hot as blazes in waiting. But Mom was taken care of.
- Running too late to take Mom home, so took her with me to my doctor's appointment. Sat in the waiting room next to a mortgage broker. Told him I work for a law firm that sues mortgage brokers. We had a nice chat decrying the mortgage business from both sides of it. Doctor sent me for 2 tests, one of which could be done today.
- Took Mom home and discovered the painter had spilled a can of paint all over the stairs to my bedroom. This carpet was not supposed to be removed in the remodeling. Now it's being removed. Great.
- Fetched CJ, who finally stayed in the crate. Took her with me to the blood test. Usually takes 60-90 minutes there; took 10 today. Wahoo. Stopped for food on the way home.
