Different countries format DVDs differently and the UK's formats won't play in the US. So there's no point buying an import DVD unless it's formatted to play in the US. The Seller claimed these were formatted for the US (NTSC, or Region 1 formatting) but most of them weren't. When you put them in a DVD player, the player just says 'not NTSC format' and doesn't play.
