That's what I'd like to do on my desk right now. Would have liked to do that at pretty much any point in the last few days.
Best guess is I'm allergic to something - I've been feverish, exhausted and itchy itchy ITCHY. I hope it's something seasonal rather than the cortisone or something in the house/at work, but who knows. And I had so much cleaning and furniture moving to do at home that I had to do it anyway, so I'm a sore puppy on top of that. The arms are barely functional. On the other hand, for the first time in my entire life, there is a television set in my bedroom. I'm not sure yet what to make of that development.
Yesterday was Molly's surgery, and hence my first day as office manager. It was not fun. (60 foreclosure notices to send out, 1 each first class & certified to each party, most parties having almost exactly the same name/address save 1 digit of the suite number, finally got it done and the trustee THEN decides she should have hand-signed them all, now that the envelopes are sealed...) Today I find myself both starving (overslept, went to Burger King but they were closed, traffic too bad to go somewhere else, the deli across the street is no longer having morning hours effective today, naturally) and apparently an IT expert. I've spent the whole morning either teaching the boss Excel or the associate atty Adobe. The former worked out, the latter - that document just don't wanna be edited.
I hope it's lunch soon...
ETA the deli finally opened, and I got a tuna sandwich. The dullest, driest one I've ever had. Would some mayonnaise have killed them? Note to self, raid salad bar for mayo & Old Bay or pickles next time.
