Sure seems like it. I started the day at Burger King's drive-thru, 3rd in line. The car in front of mine was also a regular customer. The car at the window, however, wasn't moving. I turned off my radio and realized the woman in the first car was yelling at the BK employees. Couldn't tell what, just that it was angry. The BK folks gave her back all of her money, she keeps yelling. They give her her meal, she keeps yelling. At some point I heard the word "police" but the driver keeps yelling. After nearly 10 minutes of not moving (and I'm now late to work) the middle driver finally loses her patience and starts blowing her horn and yelling at the first driver. The first driver turns around and starts yelling at the person she's been holding up all this time. So I blow my horn and also yell at the first driver. The BK manager then leans out the window and informs the first driver the police are on the way. The first driver finally leaves. The manager had my meal ready when I finally got to the window and apologized for the wait. I asked what that was all about. 'Her orange juice wasn't cold enough', says the manager. *headdesk*

Just a bit ago, I went out for a stroll around the village across the street from the office. To get there, you hit the 'walk' button at a bus stop: the button turns the light red so that people can walk in the crosswalk over to the village. (BTW, Maryland law-all vehicles must stop for pedestians in a crosswalk.) No big deal, right? I press the button, the walk sign comes on and the light turns red. One car stops. The other car approaching...guns it. She was more than 100 feet away when the light turned red, there's a pedestrian in the crosswalk in front of her, and she guns it. I yell at her that 'it's a red light, STOP' and she gives me the finger as she swerves around me, still accelerating. Well over the speed limit too, I might add. There were three other people there who were simply floored by this, and one woman just shook her head and remarked on how scary crossing the street can be.

I'm almost afraid to wonder what will happen on the way home.
