Computer Follies, Redux

And, perhaps, resolved. I took the 640GB EHD to a different Staples, where it turned out they didn't have a 750GB drive either. But, they do have time available to install the internal 750GB in my computer and their installation fee of $20(!) includes making the stupid computer recognize its shiny new internal drive, which of course has been my problem. It's a special 50% services sale, but jeez, I'd have been there yesterday to get the thing taken care of for $20. Now the computer has an appointment for early next week. Fingers crossed.
Then I headed to yet another Staples on the off chance they might have that 750GB drive...and, after some searching in their warehouse, they found one. $80. So I traded in the $66 640GB drive, expecting to be charged around $15 or so for the difference, but they never asked me for my card and I was so busy talking about Michael Jackson with another customer I didn't notice. When I got home and ran the numbers, I saw what happened - they credited me with returning the 750 and buying the 640! Normally I'd go right back and say hey, I owe you the $15, but after the nightmares I've gone through with this computer stuff, I think I deserve the $15.
