In Plain Sight Finale

Watched the finale last night and had thoughts.

1 Mary will survive and will be just fine, thanks. There is a third season and she is the central character, after all. I would like to see Mary in both physical and psychological therapy next season, both because it's realistic (you don't just go back to work the next day after something like this) and because it would be fun to watch her torture her therapists. You know she would.

2 Obviously, the gangbangers know who shot Mary. And whoever it is, they must be a major player for the gang to allow that person to do the shooting and then protect them. I think Mary also saw who shot her, that she yelled 'Gun!' for that person rather than Mario. So finding out who it is will be a big deal next season.

3 Francesca - what a selfish (&$)@(  Bullcrap, it's Mary's fault. It's entirely the fault of Francesca for wanting to set up camp in a barrio and the CIA for allowing it. (BTW, Stan is awesomeness. Just saying.) If she doesn't want to stay in a mansion, fine. Surely there are some working class neighborhoods in Albuquerque. Some place that's honest and hard-working but doesn't look like much. Why the heck doesn't she go THERE???

4 Next season, I want to see Marshall blow his cool. He came awful close here, and I doubt it would take much for him to go over the edge now.

I've seen an interesting theory that it was Bobby D. who shot her, accidentally when he turned around at her yelling "Gun!" I'm not so sure it works out, but that would be an interesting twist, especially if the actor playing Dershowitz is getting cut down to recurring from opening credits as all of the reports say. He played that scene with the uniforms asking if he saw the shooter very much as though he were possibly hiding a panic.

Stan is so made of awesome it's not even funny. Do not mess with that man or anyone he's protecting, including Mary.

Marshall. How much do I love Marshall, let me count the ways. I want to see the repercussions of him losing it over Mary getting shot here. And if it's Dershowitz who shot her, Marshall will be frabjous to watch.

The pisser is they shot part 2 of this already. The finale was originally intended to be both parts. USA apparently had other ideas. Hopefully, that means the conclusion is seriously good.

I briefly toyed with the idea that it was Dershowitz who shot her, but I'm dismissing it because the gang leader wouldn't say who did it. If it was Bobby D who shot her, the gang gets a lot more benefit from ratting on Bobby than they do keeping quiet. So I think it's someone else who it is worth the gang's while to protect.
