Was Merlin on this weekend? I can't find it.
The answer to whether or not Michaels will ship to different stores is: No. They'll call and have stuff held for you, but you have to drag your own keister to the other store. So Saturday afternoon was spent in the pouring, cold rain traipsing about Anne Arundel County in search of ornaments. Much dampness and damage to the credit card later, I have a lot of ornaments. I hope I have enough.
Speaking of cold rain, the line to get Haloti Ngata's autograph Friday night went around the building. So I laid low at a sushi bar for a while first. Turned out to be some really first rate sushi, plus a huge free appetizer. I don't even know what I was eating, but it was good. (Half was seaweed salad, the other half - ? but good.) When I finally joined the line, I still had to wait 45 minutes in the rain. Blecch. Haloti thanked everybody for coming out on a night like this. And his signature's legible. Worthwhile, in the end.
The Ravens...meep. What ugliness from the Ravens defense and esp. the secondary. (And yes, I watched some of the Titans/Patriots and the OT for Jets/Bills, so I saw plenty of ugly yesterday.) And everyone around here wants to blame the kicker. Yes, that missed field goal with two seconds left was crushing. However, if the offense had shown up in the first half and the defense had shown up at all, missing a field goal wouldn't have mattered. The game was lost long before then. Sheesh.
