gonzaiFinally saw 'Dexter Takes a Holiday' last night, and I shall now embark on 'who shot Debra & Lundy?' Firstly, I should say that I think Debra was not shot intentionally - poor aim on the first shot is my theory - and hence will survive. Lundy is the actual target. Therefore, the suspect list please!
Trinity - has motive and opportunity. He knows who Lundy is and that Lundy's on to him, so eliminating him would seem a priority for Trinity. He also knows where Lundy's staying, and roughly when he'll be leaving. On the other hand, Trinity has never used a gun (that we know of) and has never attacked more than one person at a time, so using a gun when Debra's there is well outside Trinity's MO. Also, Trinity kills after lengthy study and planning; he's only known about Lundy a few hours, so this is awfully impulsive for someone as anal-retentive as Trinity.
Anton - plenty of motive for Lundy. Eliminate the rival. And he's not expert with a gun, which would explain the missed shot hitting Debra. I wouldn't put it past him to follow Debra. But, he's supposed to be playing at the club, so unless it's early morning, he should be at work, not stalking his girlfriend. And it could be easily proven that he wasn't there.
Christine(?), Quinn's reporter girlfriend - plenty of misdirected motive. She doesn't seem wound too tight right now, and she could easily believe that it's Lundy's fault Quinn dumped her. Stalking and bad shooting seem to be right up her alley as well. She makes a good wild card. And oh yeah, she's the right age to have possibly been fathered (or orphaned) by Trinity in his first trip to Miami, which gives the possibility she shot Lundy to protect Trinity.
Wild card - they could always come up with someone/something oddball that we haven't even seen before.
