The Big 4-0 Report

The 40th birthday is winding down now. I've been bad about everything today - didn't do the crossword, or work on ornaments, or clean up from the show, or work on the computer until now, or watch TV beyond football. Considering how the Ravens game went, I probably should've just skipped the TV entirely. I was supposed to pick up a prescription, but the pharmacy closed 10 minutes before I got there. And I've been fighting a migraine all day, likely a combo of having no sleep and a lot of caffeine the last couple days. And Mom is utterly convinced my birthday was last Friday.

But I got a couple of good birthday cards from Mom and work, Molly paid for the Bruce tickets and dinner beforehand (the Bruce report is coming soon, hopefully tomorrow, I mean it!) and Mom got me a new bed set. My comforter is 33 years old. Seriously. And until last year it was fine, but it sprung a couple seams last winter and it's fading fast. So a complete new set for the bed, with a reversible comforter, purple on one side and aqua on the other. Perfect :) We just got home from dinner, we went to

www.bluestoneonline.net and had a very good meal. They had a special of soup or salad, dessert and a high end entree for $29. I had some of the best cream of crab soup ever and then the 2 lump crab cake entree. Mom swiped my asparagus to go with her surf & turf. Finished with a pumpkin spice cake with caramel sauce, and the waiter put a candle on it for me :)

Now some web surfing and hopefully some Dominion before I fall asleep.

I'm so far behind at LJ that it's not funny. A very belated Happy Birthday, sounds like you had a wonderful celebration and I'm glad.
