Torchwood - The Good & The Bad
Jul. 26th, 2008 11:26 amHaving a very dubious time regarding Torchwood of late. My Mom's pal did indeed burn Season 2 for me, and I was stoked to start watching the DVDs last night...except they don't work. Yeesh. The discs don't work on either DVD player and didn't work in the first couple software programs I tried, before Windows Media Player turned out to play it. Sort of. The picture's not good and I hate watching on a 15" computer monitor.
Meanwhile, I sent my Torchwood art off to Comic-Con with fellow Browncoats to hopefully get signed. Bruce was there for Preview Night and first thing Thursday morning, so I figure he probably got signing tickets. (He won't be getting back to me until Tuesday or so.) The problem is I sent gifts of prints to all the actors as well, and in the case of John Barrowman I also sent a gift for him and Scott, some cocker spaniel art. What I'm hearing from San Diego is that John's handlers refused to allow anyone to give him a gift (!) I've heard of not allowing gifts during presentation, but during signing sessions? WTF? I'm hoping Bruce had the forethought to try and give John's gift to Scott, or Gareth, or one of John's family members, apparently they were all there. Evidently Gareth's line was much more relaxed so I'm sure that part of the program went OK.
