So Far So Good
Sep. 6th, 2008 11:15 amThe power went out a couple times last night, but only for a few seconds each time, and after we were done with the TV for the night. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that situation holds.
Better than halfway through John Adams now, it's definitely educational. (Yes, I have been checking up on other sources to confirm what's real and what's exaggerated for TV.) And the acting is phenomenal.
I was repeatedlybegged asked to participate in an art show today. The show is a two-day and the tent and products were supposed to stay outdoors overnight, which didn't sit well with me, so I declined, repeatedly. Right now and 2 inches of rain later, I'm thinking I'm one smart cookie.
My mother and I have mostly patched things up between ourselves, but the dogs are still a major issue. Roxie absolutely freaks at the sight or sound of CJ, and my mother remains convinced CJ will bite her again (it was an accident in the first place, and CJ hasn't bothered my mother at all since.) So CJ must be crated in my bedroom or outside at all times, and I pretty much have to carry her from my room to outside. Needless to say she can't be outside today, and she's trying to destroy the crate, which really worries me should she succeed. Oh yeah, and she's waking me at 6am. There's got to be another way, I just don't know what that is.
