Easy Come, Easy Go
Jan. 25th, 2011 01:24 pmOn Saturday, Mom and I shopped computers. I checked out the ASUS CM5675-09 that I linked to here the other day, and concluded I wanted it. With at least 3 of them in box at the local Best Buy, I figured I had time to run the computer past the tech experts at gaming. Sunday I printed out the specs from the Best Buy site and took them to gaming. The techies approved of the computer. We decided we'd go pick one up tonight (Tuesday).
Today I check the Best Buy web site. The computer is no longer listed, anywhere on the site. I called the store. They say they don't carry it. I say you had 3 of them there Saturday. They say the computers say they don't have any. And only Best Buy carried this computer. It hasn't turned up in the Outlet or Clearance centers. I'm considering going to the store tonight anyway, in case one of them is still sitting under the ASUS display, but criminy they do see me coming. And offhand I'm not seeing another computer I liked anywhere near as much. Dammit.
ETA - we went to Best Buy anyway - they did still have 2 of the computers in the store and we bought one hastily. Hopefully I can set it up this weekend.
