Ah, The Joys of Telephones

Just got off a ten minutes cringe-fest with Maryland Relay (that's when a deaf person calls; the operator is not allowed to end the call and if the deaf person won't end the call, the recipient has no option but to hang up. Which is, of course, rude.) In this case, 'Mark' wanted a caterer for a 150 person party. So why he was calling an attorney, I'm not sure. And when I responded that this was an attorney's office, his response was not 'oh wrong number'; it was could they have chicken as well as salmon? So he kept ordering stuff and I kept repeating that this was a law office and we went back and forth like that for 10 minutes. This Mark fellow absolutely would not accept that he called an attorney, not a restaurant. Finally, I had to hang up. Obviously the obvious was never going to sink in on this guy.
Oy.
