Two Movies Seen, Check

Didn't get to Juno yet, but did watch 'I Am Legend' and 'Donnie Darko' for the first time today. I read I Am Legend probably 30 years ago, so I don't exactly remember it verbatim, but I'm not sure what the movie had to do with the book beyond the protagonist's name and his belief that he's the only human left on earth. And I'm sure you can imagine what I thought about the fate of Sam, even though you kinda knew that was going to happen. And was the puddle trap supposed to have been set by the zombies to catch Neville? They copied his trick? 

As for Donnie Darko...huh? That was one weird movie and I'm really not clear on what happened. Also, the 'I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion' line? I swear I heard that in another context recently but I can't for the life of me remember what. But no, that film really did nothing for me (although the soundtrack did do a lot for me, 80s survivor that I am.)

Pretty sure the puddle snare was meant to catch Robert - to show that the zombie-vamp things still had intelligence.

And yes, poor Sam :( I watched it to watch it, like I did with Eight Below, and I don't plan on watching it again.

Yeah, I couldn't watch that part again. And I've never even tried to watch Eight Below. Can't do it. Dead Calm upset me as well.
