Could Things Get Worse? Yes, They Could.

The right finger is even more painful today, after giving it a day off from just about everything. Meanwhile, after one day of operating the mouse at work, my LEFT index finger is killing me. I think I may have found the culprit (glares at mouse.) And using the left hand to mouse has greatly aggravated my left shoulder. And amongst the three of them, I didn't sleep last night. Went to bed at 9:30 and didn't fall asleep until around 4 or so, thus I am running on less than 3 hours sleep. Lovely.

Meanwhile, my younger uncle Rick called this morning. Jim, the uncle in the nursing home, has been moved to a hospice and his condition is deteriorating rapidly. They expect him to pass in the next 48 hours. I didn't think he'd live through the year, but I wasn't expecting him to go so quickly. He's lost all will to live, apparently. So Rick's headed up tonight, and I'm packing up Mom to go up to Williamsport after all, and trying to find a solution to the problem that is CJ - I can't afford to board her, but we won't have room to take her and she's untrustworthy around pretty much anyone other than myself, Mom and my co-workers, and my co-workers are unavailable this weekend. Oh, logistics...

See if your vet knows a reliable pet-sitter. Cheaper than boarding, then you just have to pretty much clear a room for her to stay in that she cannot damage too much...

Yeah, our vet's office does boarding themselves, and she tolerates the folks there reasonably well. But she's very dog-reactive and doesn't like new people, I'd be worried about everyone else!

I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. My thoughts are with you.

And regarding the mouse? Mouses (mice? lol) are EVIL. My tendinitis and carpal tunnel is flaring up from mouse use. Typing doesn't bother me at all, but the mouse is a nightmare.
