In Case You Thought Things Might Have Gotten Better

They haven't. Not for me, at least. I haven't eaten since last night - no time for breakfast or to make lunch, and because my supervisor is out, I'm not allowed to leave the office. (Weirdly, the only times this week I've had a proper meal have been...at gaming.) I didn't sleep at all last night, so I'm running on fumes. And my back, shoulders, knee and foot are killing me.

Last but not least, I'm scared of the telephone. I don't know which call is the one telling me my mother left the facility on her own AMA.

Dear, I know there may not be much you can draw on, but you seriously need some help (not the mental kind, not yet). It's either that or lay down the law with your Mother that if she leaves AMA she doesn't get to come into the house (unless it's her house, I guess).

Either that or have her declared incompetent so she can't AMA.

It is her house. But it's 5pm now, they've agreed to release her at 6pm IF it's to me and they can review her care with me first. So if she can hang on one hour...and I can hang in there long enough to get her home...

No offense dear, you do not have the physical stamina nor skill set to do a proper rehab. I tried this with my dad and he never fully recovered and regretted not doing the full rehab.

Just got back from the rehab, somehow they managed to talk her into staying until tomorrow. Told her they couldn't get her meds and equipment together until tomorrow. So I have a brief escape until tomorrow afternoon.
