gonzai | Trying To Get Better Gets Worse

I decided I've absolutely got to get some things done about my physical well-being. I didn't schedule any PT appointments to make the time and money, went to the eye doctor last week, went to the hand doctor Monday, saw the dentist yesterday. The new 'glasses' (actually new lenses, which went into the old frames' came in today and I'm getting used to the new prescription. I have doctors appointments Monday and Tuesday next week. And the biggie - hand surgery on March 23. The doctor is going to do a synovectomy and remove a bone spur from my right index finger & knuckle. The hope is that it'll bring down the swelling and pain in my hand enough to make it usable again. The surgery will definitely take care of any spare vacation/sick time I had coming.

So of course the universe is annoyed that I'm trying to change things. My knees, ankles and back are all acting up, and my left hand hurts almost as much as the right. I slept on my neck wrong the other night, then managed to do it to the other side the next night. Last night my neck and both shoulders hurt so bad I couldn't sleep at all, and my neck has been so sore today I can't move my head at all. And my stomach is upset for no reason I can figure.

This is not fair!
