Originally I thought I'd be spending most of my time on LJ posting on fannish things. So here's a rare instance of me actually doing so!
Now that's MY idea of a funeral service :D Brief and brilliant and exactly why I love PD. I will miss this show SO much.
I was a happy camper last evening with 'Pushing Daisies' and 'Life', most notably with the above-noted scenes.
"OK, let's get holy. Here lies Dwight, here lies his gun. He was a bad guy, now he'd done. Let's get out of here."

So an hour later it's 'Life'. There was a dinner scene in 'Heroes' S1 oft-described as the most awkward dinner ever. It has now been quite thoroughly shamed by last night's 'Life'. Take one zen millionaire cop with an empty mansion, add a neurotic CPA with a poorly directed libido, a teenager with angst squared, and a semi-stranded Native American cop suddenly sans police authority, and sit them down for a nice Indian take-out meal. Classic.
