I 'fess up, I'm not much on going to the theater. I went to 4 movies last year and one was involuntary. But Mom's physical therapist raved about 'Slumdog Millionaire' throughout her treatments, and dpwac stopped by last night after seeing it and she raved as well. Mom wants to go see it yesterday. And we never did manage to see 'Milk' or 'Frost/Nixon' as neither played in nearby theaters when we could go.

So the question is - do I do the AMC thing tomorrow and see all 5 Best Pic nominees? There's 3 I must see, but is it worth 14 hours sitting in a theater, esp as F/N won't end until midnight? Ponder ponder.

My parents are taking me to see Slumdog Millionaire tomorrow for my birthday day with them - they've already seen it and raved about it as well. I hope it's good!

I tend to avoid the Best Picture nominees unless they are movies that I would ordinarily see, but I'll give this one a shot.

Hi there!

I only made a point of seeing all the nominees once, in the year of Return of the King, and I HATED Lost In Translation, so not doing that again. I think my big hesitation in doing the marathon is that I don't care about seeing The Reader or Benjamin Button and they're in the middle of the marathon!
