Props to NCIS:LA

In the world of television, 9 times out of 10, a regular character in jeopardy is rescued, usually without serious injury, at the end of the episode. The other time the character is found, but already dead.
Last night, NCIS:LA tossed that out the window. Dom has been an obvious redshirt all season, but not only did the show end with him missing and no clues as to why, who, where, etc. but he never even appeared in the ep at all. He was gone before the ep began.
NCIS:LA is not a show I would expect to not go according to formula, but darn if they didn't. And they should get an ongoing storyline out of it to boot. Nice change.

Date: 2010-01-27 09:22 pm (UTC)I just...I don't know. G and Nate were doing paperwork, Eric was decompressing with video games he used to play with Dom, Sam was beating the hell out of something, and Kensi...was washing dishes. Once I saw exactly where she was it made sense, but it was a knee-jerk annoyance for that few seconds.
