Reviewing them with myself won't work unless I actually do it, right?

1 Gym - Really screwed this pooch. I actually cancelled my gym membership today. Haven't been there since December, which amounts to throwing $200 in a hole, so I cancelled. Trying to walk CJ a few times a week for now.

2 Cleaning - Got the computer room completely cleaned up; this weekend, it's sort and put away all the papers and DVDs sitting around. Assuming I actually do it, plus one for me.

3 Media - Caught up on TV (finally finished the last season of Sarah Jane Adventures) and the movie thing is progressing in a timely manner. Still having trouble with music (headphones broke, but I wasn't being good before that happened) and behind on reading, although 'Storm of Swords' is coming along. I may finish it before GoT comes back.

4 Money - The car is paid off and I have the title from the bank. It needs to be re-titled to just me (which apparently isn't cheap) but otherwise all good. Tax refunds are in the bank. CJ goes to the vet next week, hoping to get myself to the dentist the week after, then glasses and fixing up the car.

5 2013 - Not so hot. Mom continues to decline and I have now fully taken over all paperwork and bills from her, my health isn't improving to include a new assortment of GI issues (already saw the doctor, tests being run this month), and I'm amazed I'm still employed. I'm bored stiff at work and my hands are killing me, but still there. I have lost a few pounds, surprisingly, and I'm eating a bit more healthy, but that's about it.

So, walking the dog, continue gradual cleanup, stay on top of TV and movies, do something with the music, keep getting things done for myself and Mom until caught up. Mission assigned.

Looks like another hour yet. Swell. I should watch Merlin & Sarah Jane to pass the time, but instead I'm on the computer. Managed to give CJ a bath and did 12 ornaments so far (more tonight) but that's it. It was 70 & sunny and I only left the house for the paper and to let CJ out. But I'm stiff and sore and have no reason to go out. So, TV and ornaments. How exciting.

Big spoiler for episode 3.4 )

Finished watching both seasons last night. I had seen some of the 1st series on SciFi but not all, and none of the 2nd series before. I don't usually watch programs intended for the younger set, and I had to remind myself of that a lot - it's for kids, it may be repetitive or obvious, hang in there. But overall I found it to be innocuous entertainment. It won't change my life, but it was enjoyable for the time I watched it. Although the insistence of the characters on going into blatant traps and never doing what they're told (I'm looking at you, Luke & Clyde) did get old. The young actors are good, and the young man playing Clyde is going to be one strikingly handsome fellow. So I would say, don't rush out to buy/see it, but if you get a chance, you won't regret the time.

For my f-list, some Sarah Jane art upcoming shortly :)

Yup, overnight Tuesday we got a nice thick layer of ice on top of the couple inches of snow we already had. It may have been worth it just to see CJ try to walk through the yard. She looked like Bambi on the frozen pond. And she has four legs and claws!

I wasn't much more successful with the walking thing, and everything was closed - except, I couldn't seem to get an answer as to my own office. No one was there, and the boss didn't answer his cell or return my calls. It was 11:30 before I finally heard yea or nay and then it was 'come in if you feel like it'. But I was up and dressed and fed, so I went in. Is there any particular reason why drivers, esp those in gray and silver cars, feel that just because it's gray and dim and foggy and icy everywhere, doesn't mean they need to turn on their *#@^%) ( lights?!?!

Anyhoo, short day at work, and productive day at home - I watched almost the entire first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures, and did 80% of a color portrait of the Tenth Doctor. I started both Tuesday, so both were finished yesterday. A touchup here and there and the portrait should be ready for scanning and then to the web page. And after I catch up on end of week viewing, hopefully I can start on the second season of SJA. Farpoint prep, in full swing!
