Busy, Busy Day

I took today off of work to tackle some errands and such. They're 98% done now and I'm dropping fast.
First, doctor's appointment. I waited in the exam room forever. OK, an hour, but sheesh. The end result after 90 minutes was an actual diagnosis of why my right heel has been killing me since July or so: a bone spur, over a quarter inch long and jutting into the fat pad between the bone and the skin. Doctor is rather amazed that I'm walking around at all. But with craft season about to start, no decisions will be made until Christmas. Whoopee.
Next to the MVA - double whoopee. Could have been worse - they seemed to have a pretty good system worked out to help people in the order they arrive and give the workers a heads up as to what the customer needs. And I was cheerful and the MVA guy was cheerful - after my hour wait to get to his cube. Anyhoo, my drivers license is renewed. Another half hour and the van's registration is also renewed.
Scooted over to KMart and bought a cheap watch for the craft shows, then to the vet for CJ's heartworm meds. They were closed. Seems they're closing on Wednesdays now, although their web site doesn't say so. Great. Went home and cleaned out the van, packed up a couple crates of packing materials, emptied out all of the wood bins and repacked every bleedin' one of them according to what's on them, so I can find them again quickly, and hauled all the ornaments upstairs.
Then to physical therapy, where my shoulders were worked on as the doctor didn't think therapy would help my heel now. Picked up dinner and a tank of gas on the way home. Colored another batch of ornaments, then opened up all of the ornament bins and rearranged them by theme, going from 4 stuffed bins to 5 kinda empty like ones. Labelled everything. Dug out all of my signage and assessed viability. Dragged the print bins upstairs and sorted through them, grouping by theme and eliminating duplicates, then digging through my extras bin for a few that were missing. Did this while watching Castle, NCIS & the Good Wife.
I am now pooped. I should be confirming the contents of my day bag, cash box and paperwork stash, might yet do that before bed, but I'm in need of a break.
As to V - it was alright. I don't remember much of the original, so I wasn't doing the comparison thing, but after reading that stupid article on how it was anti-Obama propaganda, I was having a hard time separating story from allegory. Thanks a lot, people. Also, knowing that the aliens aren't friendly kinda ruins much of the mood. But it could have been much, much worse and I must say the effects were quite good. Nice seeing Alan, although as soon as he said 'it's like they knew we were coming' I said out loud 'they know because you TOLD them!' Yeah, pegged him for the mole way early. I'll keep with it for now. Obviously decided to watch V live, so NCIS came up tonight. And I swear, NCIS lets Franks get away with way too much crap. Enough already, how many plots can they get out of Franks breaking the rules? BTW, Gibbs' next boat? Named Amina. You heard it here first.
Politics - two out of three ain't bad, but two out of five isn't much fun. Terrific. Virginia elected a misogynist homophobe, New Jersey elected a(n intellectual property) thief, and the Catholic Church and assorted religious right denied equal rights to many people in Maine. Not sure the NY-23rd and Washington state make up for it yet. The one good thing is the Maine legislature and governor have promised to re-enact the same sex marriage law, and this time, even if the anti-equality zealots manage to get it to referendum again, there's no way they overthrow the law again. Too close this time and next time is a regular election year, with natural turnout and many other issues/states/districts for the anti-equalitians to throw everything at one state law.
Is it bedtime yet?
