Yep, finally got Mom to try it. We went into a new Japanese restaurant looking for some hibachi, and wound up getting her to try sushi. They had a roll that was beef, smoked salmon & asparagus inside, avocado & BBQ sauce outside. She liked it a lot, except for trying to eat it first with chopsticks & then with a fork. I couldn't convince her to just use her fingers. Also got her to try tamago and a piece of my roll, which was tempura shrimp, cucumber, & avocado with coconut & mango on top. She liked those as well. So we might have some progress :)

After my non-lunch eating of late, I'm getting consecutive lunches on the office. The office manager has coupons for pizza, so we're getting pizzas tomorrow (assuming, of course, the Lady Nicole will permit. The office is in a flood zone...) Today, the boss took me out for lunch, my pick. Sushi, of course. The place across the way has a new menu and I barely got through one side of the sushi menu, there were about 60 kinds on just the one side. I went for unusual and had a Roast Duck roll (roast duck, cucumber, tempura flakes, excellent) and a Nut Shrimp roll (tempura shrimp, apples, walnuts, haven't tried it yet, was full after the duck roll.) Dessert was banana tempura, which turned out to include ice cream and chocolate sauce. Kind of a hot banana split. Yummy!
